Welcome to the farm!
We look forward to welcoming you to our Farm and sharing this unique experience with us. You will enjoy a guided tour of our breeding area, followed by a delicious tasting of traditional Cinta Senese products.
You will have the chance to savour specialties made from our Cinta Senese pigs, whose meat is carefully crafted by Prosciuttificio Renieri using traditional recipes. It will be a journey through the authentic flavours of Tuscany!
OUR FARM
The Cinta Senese is a unique and refined pig breed
The Cinta Senese is an indigenous pig breed that, according to regulations, can only be raised in Tuscany in a semi-wild state and in large open spaces, making it both rare and highly valued. It is characterized by its black coat with a distinctive white band around its shoulders.
Over the years, this breed has faced many challenges, nearly reaching extinction. This is where Fattoria il Colle, thanks to our father Nicola Zanda, played a crucial role in its preservation. In 1998, Nicola decided to establish his Cinta Senese farm at the foot of the ancient Villa Il Colle, which dates back to the 13th century. He was one of the key figures in the creation of the Cinta Senese DOP consortium.
Since 2022, we, Sofia and Dario Zanda, have been managing the farm with the desire to carry on our father Nicola’s work while preserving the values he instilled in us: conservation, biodiversity, tradition, and respect for the land.

OUR PROPOSALS
Tasting experiences at the Villa…
This experience includes a tour of the farm, where you can admire the Cinta Senese pigs grazing, learn about breeding techniques, and discover the history of the breed. Afterwards, you will enjoy a tasting of our cured meats at the villa.
The experience lasts about two hours.
The tasting can take place either inside a room of the villa or in the garden, depending on the number of guests and the weather.

Tasting experience proposal
We offer a tasting experience featuring three courses:
- Sausages
- Aged Cured Meats
- Prosciutto
Each course is served with Tuscan bread and accompanied by a glass of local wine or, alternatively, a non-alcoholic beverage.
